With such a rich and beautiful history, everyone here at Moler Beauty Academy is proud of the tradition in beauty that we have supported since we first opened our doors. For years, we have trained and supported hundreds of students as they have built a new future for themselves and for their families.

Watching these amazing alumni go from nervous students to accomplished professionals has been wonderful for everyone here at Moler Beauty Academy. Which is why we love sharing stories from those students, and sharing their successes. No matter where you are in your educational journey, we hope you feel inspired as we introduce you to Casey Thompson. A former student of Moler Beauty Academy, she inspires us every day.

Brushes, Babies, and Bombshells

Casey’s journey into cosmetology started out like any other. She had a dream, and in her quest to accomplish it, she enrolled in the basic cosmetology program at our Pickens campus of the Moler Beauty Academy.

She loved her school! The flexible schedules allowed her to hold down a full time job while taking classes at night. Everything was going just as she planned, until a few months into her beauty school journey when a different kind of bombshell fell into her lap.

Casey found out she was pregnant.

While this adventure was unplanned, Casey faced the challenge head on, working through her pregnancy and the birth of her son to complete her cosmetology education.

Calling it ”one of the hardest times in my life” Casey credits her success to her instructors at Moler Beauty Academy. These amazing educators were supportive as she juggled everything, being respectful and understanding as she discovered herself and moved into her new role as a mother.

She almost gave up, but is so glad she didn’t, as after graduating in December of 2010 and sitting for the state boards, she quickly changed her life.

An Education to a Career

“The industry is always changing.” and Casey is grateful for the education that helped to prepare her for that ever changing atmosphere. She left Moler Academy feeling fully prepared, and ready to work with customers and give quality service.

Casey will be the first one, however, to tell you that all the education in the world will only prepare you so much. With so much that is changing and shifting in this industry, you must have a passion for beauty, creativity, and the art that is cosmetology in order to successful.

It is that drive and passion that Casey really claims as the foundation to her success. Without the passion that she has, and that her teachers helped to cultivate in her, she may not have been able to reach her dreams.

With her drive and her need to grow and master so much, she has not only reached her goals, she has busted right through them.

In September of 2012 Casey opened her salon, Be*YOU*tiful, located in Fairfield Ohio. This full service salon just held their five year anniversary and are celebrating by moving to a new location and expanding to offer spa services as well!

It truly is a dream come true.

Casey loves this industry, not only for the ever-changing nature of it, but for the creativity and excitement that really fuels so much of her life.

Beyond the Chair

Even with all of her success and goals for the future, Casey keeps the most important things close to her heart. Her family.

Mother to two and wife to a pastor, she enjoys spending time with her family, giving back to the community, and running a non-profit she began in her brother’s name.

Committed to helping spread awareness and understanding about the epidemic of drug addiction, her and her family work tirelessly to impact the community in multiple ways.

Casey is committed to her family and to her career, but mostly, she is committed to the future of beauty and to supporting those with the same dream that she still holds dear.
